El Camino

Summer BBQ Saturday 23rd September 2017

Alcossebre organised it’s first Summer BBQ, held at El Camino with live music.

It was a sellout with all 40 tickets sold, thanks go to all those who helped with the organisation, who donated the food, the raffle prizes and of course our cooks..

Thanks also go to our 3 musicians who kept the party atmosphere going with a selection of lively tunes.

The day was a success with 413 being raised for church funds.










St George´s Day in Alcossebre –  22nd April 2017

On Saturday 22nd April we held an early St George´s Day celebration with afternoon tea and cakes in the church drop in centre, El Camino in Alcossebre. This was combined with a Treasure Trail around the town.

The day was bright and sunny, with around 40 people in attendance. A good day was enjoyed by all and raised €318 towards church funds from ticket sales and a raffle.

Thanks go to all who attended and especially the helpers who provided the sandwiches and cakes consumed on the day.

The Queen’s 90th Birthday Celebration 11th June 2016

On the 11th June over 40 people from all three congregations came to Alcossebre for an afternoon tea to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday. As well as the usual sandwiches, cake, tea and coffee there was live music and an opportunity to sign the National Anthem. it was a very successful afternoon with in excess of €450 being raised for the church funds.










9 Lessons & Carols service Friday 18th December 2015

After a joyful 9 Lessons & Carols Service approx 40 members of the congregation went to El Camino for mulled wine and mince pies.

Bring & Share Lunch Sunday 29th November 2015


 Following the Songs of Praise Service held on 29th November over 40 members of the congregation went to El Camino for a Bring & Share Lunch


Jazz Night 17th October 2015


On Saturday 30 people attended a Jazz Night with live music and a ploughman’s  in El Camino,
music provided by Derek Johnson, keyboards, and Rex Culley, bass guitar. A good time was had
by all and €425 was raised for the church funds.

Then drop in to El Camino on Tuesdays or Fridays any time between 11.00 and 1.30 where you will find a friendly face serving a selection of sweet and savoury homemade refreshments either to eat in or take away.
There is also a good selection of second hand books in English and a small range of Bric a Brac and a rail of good quality second hand clothes available.
You will find El Camino only 50 metres along the road from San Cristobal church at 83A Calle Rench, Alcossebre.
